All good things must come to an end

Now the time has come for you to move on from Guardianship with us, here is what you will need to know about the next steps.

Your 28 days minimum notice to vacate is served to you by us.

A member of our team will contact you to prioritise you for one of our available spaces. It is important to note that whilst we will endeavour to find alternate accommodation for you, it is your responsibility to secure yourself alternate accommodation in time for your move out date. We cannot guarantee another property that meets your requirements will be available at that time so please look at all options available to you.

Whether you are moving into an alternate space with us or have your own accommodation to move to, we will commence the handing back process of the property you live in on day 1 of your notice which means that over the next 28 days you will be asked to ensure that your belongings are packed and ready to move, ensuring no items are left behind. Please note that any clearance or repairs that are required to be made to your living space after you have vacated it may impact the return of your Key Fee.

As a part of the 28 day handing back process, we will increase the number of inspections we conduct and will be in regular contact with you to ensure that you are on track to move on time.

Once you have vacated, leaving your living space free from your belongings and any rubbish, you will need to return your keys to our head office via recorded delivery. Please include only your full name and the keys inside the envelope and do not state the property address anywhere as this may pose a security risk.

Once we have received your keys we will have the living space inspected to ensure it is in the same condition as when you moved in. Assuming all is well with the living space, your Key Fee will be returned to you, in full, within 28 days (or retained if you have decided to move to another one of our living spaces).
