One example involved a council property that had experienced ongoing security challenges for several years. Traditional security measures had not prevented vandalism or antisocial behaviour. Global Guardians assessed the building and introduced guardianship within two weeks, placing responsible Guardians into the property.

The result demonstrated how bringing empty buildings back into use can provide an effective alternative to leaving properties vacant and vulnerable.

Creating Opportunities for Guardians

The benefits extend beyond protecting buildings. Zeka recalls a Guardian who lived in several Global Guardians properties while working in London. By paying less than typical market rent, he was able to save towards purchasing his own property.
